(Seyyedeh) Susan Marandi
holds a PhD in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) from Tehran University, Tehran, Iran. She is currently an assistant professor at Azzahra University in Iran. She was born in December 1969, is married and has two kids. Some of her current professional interests are CALL (computer-assisted language learning), language assessment,
metadiscourse, language and power, and EFL/ESL research, in general. She is also co-author of the award-winning educational
software, English at Home, a CD intended for monolingual Iranians interested in learning conversational
English on their own.
